What is Belkyra™?

Belkyra™ is an injectable medication approved for the treatment and reduction of excess fat under the chin on the upper neck. It is non-surgical and non-invasive, and consists of a series of injections of deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down fat. When injected into fat cells, it leads to the destruction of fat cells.

What to expect?

Treatment sessions are usually completed in just 15-20 minutes. As with other injectable treatments, you may experience mild to moderate side effects including swelling, bruising, redness, pain, numbness, tingling or itchiness and a sensation of warmth. You may also experience a sensation of hardness across the treatment area or in small areas within the treatment area. Some patients can experience headaches after treatment.
